2-day ONLINE refresher on forecasting severe storms

At ESSL, we strongly prefer to deliver courses and Testbeds on-site. They provide a unique learning environment and allow for a deep dive into the topic. We also feel that the best use of the knowledge gained through our week-long activities is achieved through yearly updates and refreshers. Repetition is one of the strongest learning tools at our disposal. Because the travel from far-away locations to a short refresher course is also not very cost-effective and environmentally friendly, we decided to offer a 2-day update on forecasting severe convective storms in online format.

The refresher course will provide a refresher on the basic knowledge gained during the Testbeds and the courses, concentrating on the ingredients-based forecasting and its use within the world of high-resolution convection, allowing models.
